Who is Kalisa?

I’m an instructional designer and eLearning developer. My approach includes positivity, excitement, encouragement, and dedication. I consider myself a lifelong learner and I bring that open mind to new encounters. Over the course of my career I have instructed, led, and trained diverse groups of people in interpersonal communication and this focus on effective communication continues to be an integral part of my work.

Supporting diversity and inclusion is another value to my approach. As an educator, I crafted learning experiences that broke down complex concepts into easily consumable bits for English language learners. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education and over a decade of developing training and instruction.

Engaging in people-centered fields of study has also given me the skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders. As an educator, I regularly met with stakeholders to discuss learner goals and performance. Through collaboration, I also cultivated a space of trust and rapport.

Not only do I love crafting learning experiences, but I also love to learn and immerse myself in new experiences. I am a world traveler, outdoor enthusiast and budding floral designer/plant lover!
